No place in the world is like India. And after seeing so many images of the Pink City of Jaipur, it was difficult to imagine us spending our christmas holidays in any other place. I found myself restless, a desire to see more, to experience more. Call it an eternal wanderlust…

The moment I discovered Bar Palladio posted somewhere in design publications, I knew I wanted to celebrate the New Years Eve in this sumptuous color-saturated, fairy-tale gem.

Owned by Italian expat Barbara Miolini, and designed by Dutch-born designer Marie-Anne Oudejans, Bar Palladio is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful spaces for dining in Rajasthan.

Dreamy, Decadent, Delightful. This oriental fantasy of mirrored salons framed by murals of exotic fowl and crowned by tented ceilings evokes the glamour of Venice‘s Caffè Florian and Harry’s Bar.

The extraordinary sense of color, the richness of details, the black-and-white marble floor, the cerulean and cream interiors, the hand-painted canvas of the exotic birds in the back salon and the mix of old and new certainly creates a kind of a dream world.

I fell in love with Jaipur even more when we stepped through the door. At night Bar Palladio reveals its true magic! Nothing quite prepares you for the romantic charm of the city´s newest jewel.

The tabletop candles add romantic lighting and ambiance allure you to stay on into the evening.

The restaurant has a typical 60s, gentlemen’s club, masculine vibe with a touch of India’s royal past. From teal to azure, this oasis of vivid blues was designed to make us never want to leave!

Dining in Jaipur is a sophisticated affair, with a plethora of fine dining restaurants Bar Palladio is the best place to find inspiration, and unwind, iced cocktail in hand after a hectic day of shopping and sightseeing.

In the evening, bohemian travelers gather in the garden around flaming fire pits to swap stories and shed their cares over drinks and conversation while peacocks wander manicured grounds dotted with orange blossoms and mango trees.

Bar Palladio is an ode to Italian style and cuisine. The chef cooks delicious Northern Italian food with a nod to India and the sumptuous cocktail list is one of the most extensive ones in Jaipur, as well as the locally made liqueur Royal Chandrahas, a staple of roy- alty that has only recently become avail- able to commoners.
